The video we watched the first day was definitely interesting. Coming from Long Island, New York and spending alot of my time in New York City as well, I can definitely relate to the movie. People are always on the go, always itching to get something done and start something new. I particularly related with the part about when the speaker read books to his child. He found himself rushing to finish, skipping lines, skipping words just to be done with the book. But why finish so quickly, why rush? I babysit alot and the kids always want me to read them stories and I find my self rushing to finish as well. I don't know why I rush through it, there is no reason except to get it done and move on to something else. I agreed with The speaker when he said it would benefit hi child if he spent more time reading books with him because not only will it help him intellectually but he will be able to spend more time with his dad.
I hope to slow down my lifestyle a little. I come from a very fast-paced society where you always are going from one thing to the next. Everyone is looking for the fastest route or a quick fix. I have noticed I have been online shopping more often now because it is easier and quicker for me to go to the store. Anything to make something quicker and easier sounds good to me. But there is no reason to make everything in life quicker and easier. Everyone needs to slow down, relax, and enjoy life.

Are you a math major or math-econ? If you are still interested in finance, math-econ might be interesting for you.
