Felix Lazebnik's speech was very interesting. The way he talked about being a mathematician and thinking about math was intriguing. He talked of one of his teachers as mathematician because he was always thinking about math. I do not feel I am a mathematician but I do feel very apart of the math world. I love connecting math with real world applications and I am intrigued when solving a math problem. Many people don't enjoy solving mathematical problems but I definitely do. I love connecting equations and rules to figure out a problem.

Hey Ashley,
I read your blog up to this point. That's really neat that you are interested in possibly going into a financially-based field of work. Have you always been interested in finance/economics or is this something that you have recently discovered?
