WEEK #11
I dont know much about undergraduate research. I still am a little confused on what it entails and what it will help do. I am not against it but it does sound boring. I also dont know how I would go about doing research and how I would no what to research.

WEEK #9
Felix Lazebnik's speech was very interesting. The way he talked about being a mathematician and thinking about math was intriguing. He talked of one of his teachers as mathematician because he was always thinking about math. I do not feel I am a mathematician but I do feel very apart of the math world. I love connecting math with real world applications and I am intrigued when solving a math problem. Many people don't enjoy solving mathematical problems but I definitely do. I love connecting equations and rules to figure out a problem.

WEEK #8
This weeks class discussion was very interesting. Putting the price of that bill into perspective with how it would actually effect the individual was so interesting. When ever I hear government and economic stuff like that I can never really relate to it. The class definitely helped to show us how people actually need a great amount of math in their every day lives. You don't realize how much math goes into everything. Doctors, insurance, banking, are all based on even the most basic math principles as well as more complicated math applications.
